Pheromones Humans: 5 Most Common Pheromones Found in Fragrances

Pheromones humans have begun to add to fragrances greatly increase attraction between the opposite sexes. These synthetic scents are odorless, but added to cologne or perfume for men and women. A phéromone cannot be detected simply by taking a whiff of the fragrance that contains it. They trigger a different sense and can cause various effects; chattiness, increased friendliness, an elevation in mood, an increase in sexual desire, or just an intense attraction felt towards someone of the opposite sex.

These pheromones have been studied in animals and they’ve revealed their importance through the signaling of predators, marking of territory, and attracting mates. The ability to attract a variety of mates deemed to be interesting enough that scientists began wondering if pheromones humans produced also had this ability. Apparently men and women do give off these invisible scents, but not everyone is able to pick them up the same way.

For instance, there are some produced by women that men pick up on and vice versa, but some men and women are oblivious to the fact that these odors exist. These individuals just aren’t affected at all by the presence of pheromones. They can usually smell the underarm sweat that carries the pheromones, but they don’t detect a change in feelings towards the person emitting the chemicals. 5 of the most common pheromones produced are also found in perfumes and colognes.

5 most common pheromones:

• Copulins – made by women
These female pheromones are responsible for increasing testosterone levels in men and causing them to feel much more masculine than they already do. When men produce more testosterone, they also will then have more androstadienone, which is connected with testosterone. By having more of this, these men will also have more women attracted to them.

• Estratetraenol – made by women
An elevation in a man’s mood occurs when he encounters this pheromone. By feeling better about himself when he’s around a certain woman, this man will be more likely to approach the woman and interact with her.

• Androstenol – made by men and women
Just because this is manufactured by both sexes doesn’t mean that it doesn’t cause a reaction. If a man is wearing it, then the women he encounters become much more friendly and chattier. The same holds true for the woman wearing it. This pheromone has a smell that is similar to sandalwood, so it usually isn’t worn alone like some other pheromones. It is usually added to some type of fragrance.

• Androstenone – made by men and women
This pheromone increases the sexual vibe felt by the opposite sex. If a fragrance containing this pheromone is worn in high potency, it can actually cause this nice vibe to turn into tension.

• Androsterone – made by men
The behavior of women is influenced with the help of this pheromone. This works in a similar manner towards women that the estratetraenol works on men.

Pheromones humans produce are added to many fragrances, massage oils, and even additives that can be combined with a favorite aftershave or lotion. The curiosity behind the phéromone will continue to intrigue people to the point that they wish to find out just how much more attractive they can be by donning one of these pheromone-laced fragrances and heading to the local night club.
